That night we used the kitchen at Kasey's aunt and uncle's beach house to make dinner, then headed to a hotel in Santa Maria.
The next morning was cool and crisp and I had Zachary make good use of the sweater Aunt Linda made him:
On Sunday morning, we drove south on the 101 for a few miles just because, then turned around at a little-used exit. The underpass to get to the northbound on-ramp was lined with wasp nests!
We met Eric, Kasey and Allie at McDonald's in Pismo Beach and then went together to Avila Valley Farms. We took a hay ride out to the apple orchard and picked about three pounds of Gala apples for $1.50/pound.
All in all it was a great trip!
