Story Time

Tonight when we were getting ready for a bath, Charlotte told me that Jane went to the beach.

Who else went? I asked her.

C: A bee!

M: A bee at the beach? What happened next?

C: Eat dinner.

M: So it was a nice bee. What did the bee and Jane have for dinner?

C: Hot dogs!

M: Yummy. What did they do after dinner?

C: Mickey Mouse picnic!

M: So Mickey Mouse came too, and they had a picnic with hot dogs? How did they cook the hot dogs?

C: Hot fire.

M: Maybe they had a camp fire. What did they have for dessert?

C: Bananas!

M: Did they do anything else at the beach? What happened next?

C: Owls.

M: What did the owls do?

C: Eat hot dogs too!

M: So what you're telling me is that Jane went to the beach with a bee and Mickey Mouse and they had a picnic with hot dogs that they cooked in the hot fire of a campfire. Then they had bananas for dessert. Later some owls came and they shared their hot dogs with them too.
